Models walked on a fashion show built on the hotel’s legendary swimming pool, displaying the latest Chanel resort clothing. The show also showed the performances of American Olympic synchronized swimmers.
This wonderful show paved the way for other luxury fashion brands to showcase their collections in Miami. Established in 2016, Miami Fashion Week is the world’s first fashion week focusing on vacation clothing. Antonio Banderas has been appointed as the Honorary Chairman of Miami Fashion Week. The event attracted many celebrities, fashion bloggers and trendsetters.
This 4-day event showcased the latest cruise, resort and early spring collections of the world’s top designers. Traditionally, many designers from Central and South America participated, because Miami is often considered the gateway to Latin America. Miami Fashion Week is nurturing the fashion industry in Miami, the home of many artists and designers, and reaffirming the city’s reputation as a vibrant fashion center.
